Extreme leads UIF in attendance

The Bloomington Extreme leads the United Indoor Football League in attendance with an average of 5,293 fans in its first three home games.

A total of 15,878 fans have attended Extreme games at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. A league-high 5,454 people witnessed the Extreme season opener March 30. Bloomington is the only franchise in the 11-team UIF to draw in excess of 5,000 fans to all its games this season.

The only other team to draw in excess of 5,000 fans to a game this year was Sioux City, which had a crowd of 5,176. Sioux City, which has played one more home game than the Extreme, is second in average attendance at 4,803.

The remainder of the league average attendance figures is Sioux Falls (4,732), Colorado (3,652), Lexington (3,496), RiverCity (3,416), Omaha (2,907), Billings (2,878), Rock River (2,869), Evansville (2,655) and Ohio Valley (1,007).

The Extreme returns home Saturday for the first time in three weeks when it faces Ohio Valley at 7:05 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
