
UIF Week Eight Players of the Week Announced

Omaha, NE - United Indoor Football is pleased to announce that Patrick Hall, Jeffery Candler, and Durell Preston have been named the three Players of the Week for week eight. Hall led Rock River to a victory over Lexington to receive Offensive Player of the Week. Ohio Valley's Candler was voted as the Defensive Player of the Week for his play against RiverCity and teammate Preston has been named Special Teams Players of the Week for his play against the Rage as well.
Patrick Hall II (ROC) had 19 carries for 73 yards and three touchdowns. Hall's longest run was for 28 yards. He also grabbed six catches for 25 yards and one touchdown. This season, Hall was tallied 117 rushing yards and seven TD's. He also has 63 receiving yards and one TD. Rock River will host RiverCity on Saturday.
Jeffery Candler (OVG) who was the only unanimous selection had 8.5 tackles, six solo, five assists, 2.5 tackles for loss for 32 yards, one sack and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. Candler and Ohio Valley will face Bloomington on the road Saturday.
Durell Preston (OVG) returned six kickoffs for 111 yards, averaging 18.5 yards per return. Preston's longest return was for 27 yards.
Receiving Week Eight Honorable Mentions are: Offense, Allen Burrell (SFS); Defense, Blue Aldridge (ROC); and Special Teams, Tarron Acuff (EVA).
