
Ice to Face Bandits Saturday at Budweiser Events Center

Fort Collins, CO - After two tough losses, the Colorado Ice of United Indoor Football (UIF) are ready to return to Budweiser Events Center to defend the team's 3-1 home record. Colorado will host the Sioux City Bandits (2-5) Saturday on "Military Night." Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m., preceded by a block party at the front of the center, 5290 Arena Circle, beginning at 5 p.m. There will be two live bands, a rock climbing wall, military vehicles and an appearance by the Icicles and Glacier.
The Ice (4-4) defeated the Bandits 54-30 in Week 4 on April 13, in Sioux City. Colorado is coming off a tough loss in Billings, MT last Friday night when the Outlaws dominated the second half to beat the Ice 42-33. Sioux City lost 56-31 to Sioux Falls in Week 8. The Bandits have also added a wide receiver, running back and defensive lineman to the roster this week in preparation for Saturday's match-up.
Matt Gutierrez will start at quarterback against Sioux City as Ryan Clement is still questionable with a knee injury. Other injuries include: WR Mike Jones, probable, elbow; DL JD Martin, probable, knee; RB Sean Ingram, doubtful, knee; DB Jason McCleary, out, knee; DB Clyde Surrell, out, ankle.
Game Notes:
- Colorado is 3-0 when they are ahead after the first quarter of play.
- DB Clint Brown had a season high two interceptions in Week 4.
- The defense recorded four interceptions for 41 yards and held the Bandits to 51 yards rushing in Week 4.
- Rushing duo Eugene Reed & Sean Ingram put together 146 net yards on the ground in Week 4.
- The team put up a season-high 23 first downs and 249 total yards in Week 4.
The Ice will have their first bye next week before they host the Sioux Falls Storm at 7:05 p.m. June 2 at the Budweiser Events Center for "Family Night."
