Bloomington Extreme News Release

The Bloomington Extreme will be gunning for the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs in the United Indoor Football League when it travels to Evansville on Saturday for a 7:05 p.m. contest at Roberts Stadium.

In order to secure the No. 3 seed, the Extreme needs a couple of things to happen in the final week of the regular season.

The Extreme will need to avenge a 58-46 loss to Evansville in June at U.S. Cellular Coliseum and have Lexington loss to Ohio Valley. The Extreme and Lexington are currently tied for third in the Eastern Conference with 7-7 records.

Should both teams win and finish the season with 8-7 records, Lexington would win the No. 3 seed based off the point-differential tie-breaker in regular-season games played against one another.

The teams split a pair of regular-season games with Bloomington defeating Lexington, 33-32, and Lexington topping the Extreme, 40-34, to give the Horsemen a plus-5 advantage.

Should the Extreme earn the No. 3 seed, it would travel to the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., to face No. 2 seed RiverCity at 3:10 p.m. Sunday (July 22). The teams split a pair of games during the regular season with each team winning on the opponent's field.

Should the Extreme wind up as the No. 4 seed, it would travel to the MetroCentre in Rockford to face No. 1 seed Rock River at 7:05 p.m. Saturday (July 21). Rock River had a 2-1 advantage over the Extreme during the regular season.
