EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats lost a heartbreaking 41-38 contest on the road against the River City Rage in St. Charles, Missouri. The game ended in a similar fashion as the previous contest between the two teams back on March 24th when River City kicker Derek Kutz kicked the game winning field goal as time expired. The BlueCats led by as many as 15 points in the 3rd quarter, but River City managed to come back in the fourth quarter and take their first lead of the second half with 0:00 on the clock. The loss coupled with the Bloomington Extreme's 49-31 victory over the Billings Outlaws ends the BlueCats chances of making the 2007 UIF playoffs.

The BlueCats got out in front early and were in control for much of the first half. The defense held the Rage to just 3 field goals and took a 17-9 lead at the half. The BlueCats received the second half kickoff and scored on their first play from scrimmage when quarterback Brent Dearmon found Dale Jennings for an impressive 45-yard touchdown catch and run to take a 24-9 lead. But the Rage came back in the third and fourth quarters with four touchdowns and a key defensive stop with two minutes remaining to set up the game winning field goal.
