Bloomington Extreme News Release

The Bloomington Extreme indoor football organization, along with police and firefighters from Bloomington and Normal, will donate $2,265 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association following last week's Guns n' Hoses event at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Prior to the Extreme's game Saturday against Sioux City, members of the Bloomington and Normal firefighters faced their counterparts from the police department in flag football games with a portion of the ticket sales going to MDA.

During the Extreme game, members of the Bloomington team wore specially designed jerseys depicting the Guns n' Hoses theme, which were auctioned off after the contest with a portion of the proceeds going to MDA.

"All in all, it was a fun day for everyone," said Beau Bradle, vice president of sales and marketing for the Extreme and U.S. Cellular Coliseum. "We were able to raise some money with the help of the Bloomington and Normal police and fire departments to help MDA, which was our main goal. We plan to make the event even bigger and better next year."
