
United Indoor Football Week 11 Players of the Week Announced

Omaha, NE - Dusty Burk, Chris Dixon, Travis Salter and Peter Christofilakos have been selected as United Indoor Football (UIF) players of the week for their play in week 11 of the UIF season.
Burk, quarterback for the Bloomington Extreme, shares Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in last week's game. In Bloomington's 76-73 win over the Sioux City Bandits, he completed 21 of 29 passes for 252 yards and seven touchdowns. Burk added 26 rushing yards to finish his evening with 278 yards of total offense. He currently leads the Extreme in both of the rushing and passing categories. So far this season, Burk has thrown for 1,950 yards and 37 touchdowns while also rushing for 226 yards and five touchdowns. This weekend, he and his teammates will have a bye before heading on the road to face the RiverCity Rage on May 31st at the Family Arena.
Dixon, quarterback for the Billings Outlaws, shares Offensive Player of the Week honors for his efforts in last week's game. In Billings' 60-41 win over the Omaha Beef, he completed 20 of 28 passes for 247 yards and seven touchdowns. Dixon added 50 rushing yards to finish his evening with 297 yards of total offense. He currently leads the Outlaws in the passing categories. So far this season, Dixon has thrown for 2,107 yards and 44 touchdowns. This weekend, he and his teammates will host the Sioux Falls Storm at Saturday evening Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.
Salter, linebacker for the Billings Outlaws, has been tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week. Last weekend, in the team's 60-41 win over the Omaha Beef, he tallied a team-high 10.5 tackles (nine solo, three assisted), two tackles for loss, a sack, and also recovered a fumble. This weekend, he and his teammates will host the Sioux Falls Storm Saturday evening at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark.
Christofilakos, kicker for the Bloomington Extreme, is honored with Special Teams Player of the Week. In Bloomington's 76-73 win over the Sioux City Bandits, he made two-of-three field goals from 23 and 28 yards out and also went a perfect 10-for-10 on extra points. The 28-yard field goal was the game-winner as it came on the final play of the game. This weekend, he and his teammates will have a bye before heading on the road to face the RiverCity Rage on May 31st at the Family Arena.
