Bloomington Extreme News Release

Bloomington, IL (February 11, 2009) - The Bloomington Extreme are proud to announce a new face to their organization. 'Spike' sponsored by Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips, is going to be working the field before, during and after games in the Extremes' upcoming 2009 season.

'Spike' is a combination of a chicken and a lizard. He stands 5'10" tall and has crazy spiky hair. His hair stands tall and represents the Extremes' colors, navy blue and red. He wears a navy blue Extreme jersey and a great big smile.

"We felt we needed a new face and identity both on and off the field," Extreme General Manager Bart Rogers explains. "We wanted to create a new character that kids can relate to at the games and at different appearances throughout Bloomington-Normal. 'Spike' was built to be very interactive throughout the Extreme games and will always be on the go."

"We're excited to have Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips as a title partner of Spike. They will be using him to co-market the Extreme and Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips on game day mornings at local grocery stores in Bloomington-Normal," Rogers said. "Kitchen Cooked has always been there to support our teams and the U.S. Cellular Coliseum since they first started up. To have them partner on our new mascot and to help us promote ticket sales on games days through these outlets, is a huge help to our 8 home games."

The season tickets are on sale now. The season tickets include eight home games starting at only $88. Make sure to get your tickets today. This is going to be a season that you will not want to miss!
