
Cumbie Signs Impressive Defensive End

Jonathan Hamm signed at the Defensive End position for the Stampede Express. Hamm is a 6'7" 280 lb defensive end from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. Hamm also played for the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League. In 2007 Hamm signed with the New Orleans Saints but later departed due to injury. Three months after rehab he signed with the Montreal Alouetts of the CIFL.
In Hamm's senior year he was named to the Black College All-American, 1st Team All-Conference, All-Region, and was awarded the inaugural Marion Jackson Defensive Player of the year award. He was also team captain of the #1 Division 2 Total Defensive Team nationally in the NCAA.
Hamm's talents don't stop with just football as he was 3 sport athlete playing football, basketball, and European college team handball. Hamm was selected by the United States to as a Junior Olympian in handball but declined to pursue his dream of playing football.
Hamm has also done work in Hollywood. He co-starred in the movie The Big Fan directed by Robert Siegal and starring Patton Oswalt. He has also appeared on the Sobe Drink Super Bowl Commercial starring NFL superstars Rey Lewis, Justin Tuck, and Matt Light. He has made an appearance on MTV's Sweet 16 with NFL superstar Ray Buchanan's Daughter Destiny as a "sexy bodyguard".
Stampede Express season begins April 4th as the Express will host the Colorado Ice at 7:05 at the San Angelo Coliseum.
