Ruff Riders WR Making Strides in Reality TV

ABILENE, TX. : Wide Receiver Josh Booker is making headway in reality television as he has been selected as a possible contestant for the Michael Irvin / Spike Television based reality televison series. The series is set to air in the spring of 2009 and it will feature NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin as the on-air-talent. Irvin will watch over 12 players (six wide receivers and six defensive backs) as they develop into NFL prospects. The 12 amateur prospects will compete against one another for a shot at the Dallas Cowboys training camp roster next summer, and possibly a spot on the team.

"I put a lot of effort into the audition process." stated Josh Booker. "I'm very excited and hopeful of becoming a contestant on the show. Right now, I am at the point of just waiting to hear back from the network about the next step." explained Booker.

Booker was signed to the Abilene Ruff Riders following a workout with the organization. The 6'1", 180 lbs. speedster registered an impressive High School career at the wide receiver position and now he looks to take his football career to higher marks at the professional level.

"I put together a 12-minute highlight video for the audition."explained Booker. "I also believe that with my size and speed I can play both wide receiver and defensive back."

"Josh is a very quick and athletic wide receiver. He looked good in our workouts. Josh is an elusive player with good hands. I'm very excited for him and I hope many great things come from the experience he is going through." stated Abilene Ruff Riders Head Coach, Gerald Dockery.
