
Express Tie up Series with Massive First Quarter

(WINDSOR, ON) A record setting 48 point first quarter propelled the Windsor Express to a 105-93 victory on Saturday night, knotting the Central Conference Finals at 1-1.
Windsor couldn't miss in the opening frame, turning a 4-4 game into a 16-4 advantage and pouring it on to finish up 48-28.
Tony Bennett had 20 points in the quarter, shooting 7-for-7 from the floor, including 5-for-5 behind the arc.
Bennett finished with 22 points and 5 assists.
Ryan Anderson went shot for shot with Bennett in the frame, posting 13 points, thanks to 3-for-5 from three point land.
The second quarter was a different story for the Express, who put only 11 points on the board, closing the first half up 59-49.
Windsor regained their swagger to start the second half, outscoring Brampton 29-28 before putting the finishing touches on the victory with a 17-16 fourth quarter.
Through it all, Quinnel Brown led the team with a game-high 34 points. He also had a game high 13 rebounds.
Akeem Scott had 19 points for the A's, who will host the next two games at the Athlete Institute in Orangeville, Ontario.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 1st at 7:00pm.
The win guarentees a Game 5 back at the WFCU Centre, to be played on Tuesday, April 7th at 7:00pm.
