Windsor Express News Release
The Windsor Express announced Tuesday they have signed power forward Lester Prosper.
Prosper, 6-foot-10, 240-pounds, is the second former Express player to re-sign with the team this week. During Windsor's inaugural season in 2012-13, Prosper played in 24 games while averaging 7.9 points and 7.7 rebounds in 20 minutes. He was traded to the Oshawa Power [now defunct] near the end of that season.
Prosper went on to be drafted in the 2013 NBA D-League draft by the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics affiliate) but did not make the final roster. His 2014-15 season was split playing in England (BBL) and in Spain (LEB Silver). His most recent campaign during the 2015-16 season was played in Mexico (CIBACOPA) for Trigueros de Obregon. That season, Prosper averaged 15.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 27 minutes in 12 games.
The 28-year-old Prosper will return to the Express and be expected to bring his rebounding prowess that he's exhibited throughout his career. A fan favourite during his time in Windsor, the energetic Prosper will add more veteran leadership to a young Express squad this season.
