The Windsor Express announced Wednesday they have signed guard/forward Brandan Kearney.
Kearney, 6-foot-6, 198-pounds, is entering his second season playing in the NBL Canada. He was selected second overall in the first round of the 2015 NBL Canada draft by the Moncton Miracles.
In his rookie campaign with Moncton, Kearney averaged 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 24 minutes in 40 games. Kearney also ranked fourth in the NBLC in 3-point shooting percentage (41.1%).
The 23-year-old Kearney began his college career at Michigan State, playing two seasons under head coach Tom Izzo. He transferred to Arizona State for the 2013-14 season and transferred again for the 2014-15 season to play at the University of Detroit.
Kearney is a native of Detroit, Michigan.
