Express Improves with Roster Additions

(WINDSOR, ON) - The Windsor Express continues to show their commitment to having a championship caliber team. The Express recently added Stefan Bonneau, Chris Commons and Lester Prosper to their roster.

"In an effort to remain consistent with the National Basketball League of Canada's level of talent, since day one we have searched high and low to provide stock our roster with competitive palyers. We continue to do this with our newly acquired players," said Dartis Willis, owner and CEO of the Windsor Express.

The Windsor Express has acquired Stefan Bonneau, a 5' 10", 170 pound guard from Middletown New York. Bonneau was most recently selected by the Springfield Armor in the 2012 NBA D League draft and subsequently traded to the Austin Toros. Stefan spent two years at C.W. Post University where he was named 2012 NCAA II First Team All-American, East Region Player of the Year and East Coast Conference Player of the Year. In his senior year at C.W Post, Bonneau averaged 21.7 points per game, 3.9 rebounds per game and 4.3 assists per game.

Darryl Greene, director of player personnel states, " His dynamic scoring ability, deep range and 44 inch vertical make Stefan a great addition to the Express roster."

Windsor Express has continued to bolster their roster with 6' 9", 225 pound G/F, Chris Commons. Commons recently returned from Finland where he averaged 16 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 1.4 block shots per game. In 2012, he was named 2nd Team All-USA along with 2012 NBL Canada MVP, Gabe Freeman. Last season Chris was voted 2012 PBL Forward of the Year while averaging 19.3 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game, 2.0 assists per game and 1.8 block shots per game. Commons has played professionally in Germany, Asia, and the Middle East. Chris was a two time NCAA II First Team All-American and Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year. Commons finished his college career at USC Aiken in 2009 and had a career average of 19.3 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game and 1.3 block shots per game.

As a third addition, the Express adds Lester Prosper, a former Moncton Miracle, and the second leader in rebounds of the National Basketball League of Canada. He will play centre for the Windsor Express, pending league approval.

Lester had a well decorated college career averaging 19.6 ppg, 13 rebounds (4th in the nation) and 3.5 blocked shots (5th in nation). He was named a First and Second Teams All- Region member. He garnered three Skyline Conference Player of the Week awards and named to the Weekly Honor Roll nine times.

Catch Stefan, Chris, Lester and the Windsor Express in action on Friday, December 14th 2012 at 7pm as they take on the Atlantic Division leaders, the Moncton Miracles.
