Round Rock Express News Release
ROUND ROCK, Texas â The Round Rock Express announced a new and improved system for season ticket holders that will make it easier to service their account.
The TicketReturn (www.ticketreturn.com) system is web-based and enables season and Fireworks-Plus ticket holders to transfer or donate tickets with the click of a button. It will ensure that fans will get the most out of their ticket packages.
The TicketReturn system will help make sure that all tickets from a season ticket package are used. Season ticket holders will able to go onto RoundRockExpress.com or TicketReturn.com or call 866-MY-TICKET or the Express box office and give their tickets to others. The new ticket holders may then print out their ticket or pick them up at The Dell Diamond.
Charities may also benefit. Season ticket holders will have the option of donating them to one of the many charities the Express is involved with. The organization will then send the season ticket holder an official record of donation for tax purposes.
The new system will also eliminate paper tickets. Instead of a booklet of 70 tickets, season ticket holders will be given a card, similar to a credit card. The card will be scanned at the gate instead of tickets being torn.
Another added bonus is that any unused tickets may be exchanged for a seat at another game. These are actual seats, not general admission tickets. This is the most liberal policy in baseball and helps fans maximize the value of their purchase.
All of this adds up to a system that will better benefit Express fans.
"It is our goal to give fans the easiest and most effective way to access Express tickets," Express President and CEO Reid Ryan said. "Ticket Return does just that. We know that this will be a change for our fans, but we are committed to seeing that every season ticket holder is happy and comfortable with the system."
Ticket Return has partnered with several other professional franchises, but the Express will be the first Double-A organization to implement the system. In order to get the system in place, wireless Internet points will be installed at every Dell Diamond entrance so that cards may be scanned. The Express will also be using the latest in Dell created hand-held PC technology.
"This is a high-tech savvy community," Express General Manager Jay Miller said. "This is the wave of the future. I'm sure when season ticket holders understand the benefits it offers, they'll fall in love with the system."
The system will make it much easier for season ticket holders to get the most out of their purchase. Instead of some tickets going to waste, our fans will be able to ensure that all tickets that they purchase will be used. It is a revolutionary system that will help the Express continue to provide its fans with the best experience possible.
"The Round Rock Express and The Dell Diamond represent the best of everything that Minor League Baseball has to offer," Gordon Hirsch, Vice President of Marketing for TicketReturn, said. "TicketReturn's services put Express fans in control of the tickets they own. Whether you're buying and printing tickets online, or emailing tickets to friends and family, there's no easier way to get a great seat at The Dell Diamond."
Those interested in season or Fireworks-Plus packages should call (512) 255-BALL and ask for a sales representative. Individual game tickets go on sale March 6 and will be available at the Express box office and RoundRockExpress.com.
The 2004 season will begin April 3 when the Express hosts the New Orleans Zephyrs in an exhibition game. The regular season home opener is April 18 versus the El Paso Diablos.
