Express add Shaheen Holloway

At an earlier Press Conference, the Newark Express announced the signing of Seton Hall University Alumni Shaheen Holloway. The signing of their 2nd marquee player, took place prior to final scheduled Open Try-Out for the 2005-2006 season.

Holloway, a resident of Hillside NJ, attended St. Patrick's High School in Elizabeth NJ where he was the 1996 MVP of the McDonald's All American Game. A Seton Hall University graduate, Shaheen starred for the Pirates from '96-2000, where he became the third all time leader in steals and 3pts made, and was noted as the All Time Assist Leader in Seton Hall University history.

Holloway has played professionally in Turkey, the UK, Israel, the Dominican Republic and Germany. The 29 yr old, 6' guard was recently in camp with NJ Nets before finally agreeing to terms with the Newark Express.

Holloway is best known for his ball handling skills, court vision, and his ability to score. The Newark Express is excited to have this veteran point guard leading the team in its inaugural season.
