
Explosive 10-Run Inning Powers Bombers to Eighth Straight Victory

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 19, 2015) - On Sunday night, the Brazos Valley Bombers completed an undefeated homestand by defeating the East Texas PumpJacks by a score of 14-3.
The Bombers' four-game homestand concluded on Sunday against the East Texas PumpJacks with Seniors Free Sunday, including free admission for seniors and Baseball Bingo, thanks to Brazos Bingo. Sunday also featured the Bombers' Inaugural Grandma Pageant, presented by Enlivant. Grandmas from all around the Brazos Valley community.
The Bombers were in control the entire way in this game, highlighted by an explosive 10-run 4th inning to leave the PumpJacks far behind before adding four more runs throughout the remainder of the game to win, 14-3. Texas A&M Aggie Joel Davis hit a double and his first home run for the Bombers this season to earn Cellucor Player of the Game honors. Dakota Mekkes started the game for the Bombers and earned his fourth victory of the season, improving his record to 4-0.
The Bombers' record improves to 31-6 overall and 12-2 in the second half. In search of their ninth consecutive half-season championship; the Bombers extend their lead to one and a half games ahead of the Victoria Generals, who currently sit in second place.
The Bombers are off on Monday before hitting the road for four straight games Tuesday-Friday. The Bombers will then be back at Cellucor Field next Saturday, July 25 to begin a two-game homestand against the Woodlands Strykers. July 25 will be Agricultural Night, sponsored by Molly Maids, featuring a petting zoo at the ballpark.
