Exciting Hockey Action In Elmira This Week

Elmira, NY - The hockey schedule in Elmira this week does not get any more intense as the Jackals play three home games against the Rockford IceHogs and the Elmira College Men's team hosts Hobart for an ECAC West Playoff game.
Wednesday night, February 21st, the Elmira College Men's Hockey team will kick off an exciting hockey week in the city of Elmira. The Soaring Eagles (12-9-4) will host Hobart (13-7-5) Wednesday night for a 7:00 pm face off at the Murray Athletic Center, in a crucial ECAC West Quarterfinal playoff match up for both teams. The winner of this game will advance to the semifinals and travel to face first place Manhattanville on Saturday, the loser will find its season come to an abrupt end.
Friday night, February 23rd at 7:35 pm the Jackals will begin a 5-game homestand on First Arena ice as they welcome the Rockford IceHogs for their first and only trip to Elmira this season. Friday is GLN Tax & Payroll Rally Towel Giveaway night at First Arena, where the first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive a Jackals Rally Towel courtesy of GLN Tax & Payroll. WENY-TV is also a sponsor of Friday's Jackals home game.
Saturday, February 24th at 7:35 pm, the Jackals and IceHogs will commence round two of their 3-game weekend series. Saturday is a Jackals Poster Giveaway Night. Every fan in attendance will receive a Jackals Team Poster courtesy of Silk Limousine and Cool 96 FM.
Sunday, February 25th, the Jackals will complete their series with Rockford on WINK 106 Family Day with Bobby K. Events will include a Bobby K activity in the concourse, a post game skate with the Jackals and an intermission sling shot contest with WINK 106 personalities Scott Free, Eric McKay and Jessie Jordan. Also on Sunday the Jackals will be giving away free pairs of Thundersticks to the first 1,000 fans in attendance courtesy of Blue Manufacturing. During the intermissions fans will also have an opportunity to catch one of 200 HSBC Bank water bottles that will be thrown into the crowd.
The Jackals will begin a 5-game home stand on Friday, February 23rd as they host the Rockford IceHogs for GLN Tax & Payroll Rally Towel Giveaway Night, the first of a three-game series at First Arena; game time is scheduled for 7:35 pm.
