
Ewing Named FSL Player of the Month for April

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Minor League Baseball announced today that former St. Lucie Mets outfielder A.J. Ewing has been named the Florida State League Player of the Month for April.
Ewing slashed .400/.506/.615 and posted a 1.121 OP over 18 games in April. He was promoted to High-A Brooklyn after the Mets' April 27th game vs. Daytona.
Ewing departed the FSL as the league's leader in hits (26), batting average, on-base percentage, OPS, triples (4) and stolen bases (14). He recorded seven multi-hit games, including a four-hit game and three three-hit games.
Ewing is the Mets' No. 28 prospect according to the MLB Pipeline rankings.
Ewing, 20, was drafted by New York as a compensation round pick (134th overall) in 2023 out of Springboro High School in Ohio. The Mets received the draft pick when Jacob DeGrom signed with the Texas Rangers.
