Published on October 12, 2021 under United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Orange County SC News Release
Orange County SC will host Phoenix Rising FC for the last time this season on Wednesday, October 13 at 7pm at Championship Soccer Stadium. OC has fought closely with their rivals to the east this season, however, they have not beaten Phoenix in their three meetings.
Colores | Colors
Wednesday's match theme is Fiesta de Fútbol in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which has been recognized league-wide. OCSC will be donning new kits for this special occasion inspired by the colors that are commonly seen in Hispanic fiestas.
Primero Gol Por Ben Mines | First Goal for Ben Mines
OCSC midfielder Ben Mines scored his first goal since he joined Orange County on loan from MLS Cincinnati FC. It came in the second half of OCSC's previous match at Tacoma Defiance. In rainy and wet conditions, Mines skipped the ball past the goalkeeper and into the back of the net. The promising winger could be ascending at the right time for OC.
Dos Más Partidos en La Casa | Two More Games at Home
After the match against Phoenix, OCSC will have two more home games left in the regular season. On Wednesday, October 20, San Diego Loyal SC will make their first trip up the 5 North since June. The season series record is 1-1-1. OCSC finishes the home schedule against Las Vegas Lights FC on Saturday, October 23.
