Everett Raptors Move More Players to NFL and CFL

The Everett Raptors along with Head Coach Sean Ponder are pleased to announce that starting quarterback Blake Bolles will be attending mini-camp next week with the Minnesota Vikings. While he will be missed, Coach Ponder is extremely pleased with the opportunity Bolles has gotten and says, "That's the best part of my job, you know, giving these kids a platform to show their talents and to get noticed at a higher level. I'm extremely proud of him and wish him all the success in the world."

In other news, Coach Ponder announced the signing of standout quarterback, Shane Austin. Austin, is a 6' 1" 200 lb. psychology major out of The University of Hawaii where, as a senior, he appeared in all 13 games. During his college career he threw 214 passes for 1303 yds and 6 TD's and rushed for 16 yds. For 2 TD's. Since gradating, Shane has been in San Diego training with NFL veteran and 4 time Pro Bowler, Jeff Garcia and he is healthy and ready to play. Austin was born in Santa Monica, Calif., has three brothers and is the son of Cathy and Dave Austin of Camarillo, Calif.

Finally, 6' 7" 330 lb. Offensive Lineman, Jordan Taormina signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL on April 23rd. Jordan Was a two-year starter at tackle at Orange Coast Junior College before transferring to Oklahoma State where he saw action playing tackle for the Cowboys before graduating and signing with the Everett Raptors. We wish him success!
