Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced the signing of forward Lee Jubinville today for the 2009-10 season.

Jubinville, 24, joins the Everblades for his rookie year after skating four seasons with the NCAA's Princeton University Tigers.

In the 2007-08 season, the Edmonton, Alberta native was the recipient of the Ivy League Player of the Year, named the Tiger's Most Valuable Player and was one of two Princeton players unanimously named first-team All-American. Jubinville also became Princeton's first-ever nominee for the prestigious Hobey Baker Award, college hockey's most accomplished player. The 5-foot-10 forward was consistent in scoring, recording goals in 20 out of 22 league games, including nine multiple-point efforts. With 12 goals and 27 assists, he nearly quadrupled his freshman year stats of 10 points.

Last season, he was ranked third on his club in scoring, netting 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points, including the game-winning goal against Union College in the opener of the ECAC quarterfinals.

"Lee is a good, solid skater. I believe he will have a tremendous impact on our forecheck and his speed will create power play opportunities for us," said coach Malcolm Cameron. "He's speed makes him dangerous in a lot of areas. He is well coached and plays consistently on both ends of the ice."

Jubinville graduated this year with a career 131 games played, 36 goals and 63 assists for a total of 99 points.

The left-handed shooting forward will be attending the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans training camp in New York.
