ESTERO, FL--Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced today that forward Jordan Morrison and defenseman Matt Duffy have been called up to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. Also, Barry Brust returns to the Houston Aeros (AHL) and Elgin Reid was reassigned to the Florida Everblades from the Albany River Rats.

Jordan Morrison of Uxbridge, Ontario will be joining the Rochester Americans. This is Morrison's first stint in the AHL this season. He has appeared in 27 games for the Everblades this season scoring five goals and eight assists.

Matt Duffy, the 6'2" 210 pound defenseman from Windham, Maine will join Morrison and fellow Everblades A.J. Thelen, Ernie Hartlieb, and Chris Beckford-Tseu in Rochester. This is the second call up for Duffy who has appeared in 16 games for the Everblades and has a +/- rating of +8.

In an unrelated transaction goaltender Barry Brust has been recalled to the Houston Aeros. Brust who returned to the Everblades for Friday and Saturday's contests against the Wheeling Nailers returns to Houston with a goals against average of 2.69 and a .92 save percentage.

With all of the call ups and injuries the Florida Everblades are happy to welcome Elgin Reid back into the line up. So far this season Reid has scored three goals and five assists in 19 contests. This was his first call up to the AHL with the Albany River Rats recorded one assist in two games.

Note: #71 Kevin Baker was added to the 3-day IR and did not appear in Saturday's contest against the Wheeling Nailers. Florida won the night 5-1 at Germain Arena.
