
Stingrays Gameday: Stingrays Head To Charlotte; Wrap Up Series Today

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays travel north to battle the Charlotte Checkers this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Time Warner Cable Arena. Tonight is the eighth of eleven scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and the final game of this five-game mini series. Stingrays lead the series 4-0. The Stingrays comes into today's contest on an ECHL- best 13 game winning streak, a new team record.
The Stingrays return home Sunday, December 27 at 4:00 p.m. against the Charlotte Checkers. Join the Stingrays on Sunday for Kid's Day featuring $5 kid's tickets and a pregame kid's carnival. It is also Adopt-a-Dog Sunday with Camp Bow Wow. Be sure to stop by their table on the main concourse to see the Adoptable Dog of the Night. Note of the Night Stingrays defenseman Josh Godfrey continues his hot streak recording two assists last night against the Checkers and pushed his point streak to five games with seven points (1g, 6a).
Put it in the Record Books With a with 4-2 victory last night, the Stingrays set a new team record of 13 consecutive wins. The last four victories have been against Charlotte.
Fornataro Continues to Fly With a goal last night, Stingrays forward Matt Fornataro pushed his point streak to eight games recording five goals and seven assists for 12 points.
At the Top Stingrays forwards Nikita Kashirsky and Keith Johnson lead South Carolina over the Checkers with seven points each. Kashirsky has five goals and two assists including a hat trick against Charlotte while Johnson has three goals and four assists.
