Florida Everblades News Release
The Florida Everblades and Charlotte Checkers met for the first time this season last weekend with a pair of games at Germain Arena. Florida delighted their home crowd Friday night with a 5-3 victory. Saturday, the Checkers got even with a 4-2 decision over the Everblades. Florida welcomes South Carolina to Germain Arena with three games this week beginning on Wednesday night. South Carolina eliminated Florida from the Kelly Cup playoffs last season in the South Division Finals.

Friday, October 23 vs Charlotte Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Elgin Reid led the way for the Everblades as they raised the 2008-09 Brahbam Cup banner in a 5-3 victory in their home opener. Reid finished the contest with two goals and a +3 rating against South Division rival Charlotte. Goaltender Mike Morrison picked up his second win of the season and first at home making 23 saves in the victory.
Saturday, October 24 vs Charlotte Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The Charlotte Checkers achieved a split in the weekend series posting a 4-2 victory on Saturday night. Michel Leveille led the way for the Checkers with two markers, while Ethan Graham and Derek Couture added two assists each. Ryan Lang and Ernie Hartlieb accounted for the Everblades tallies. Florida and Charlotte meet 12 more times this season with seven of those meetings taking place in Charlotte.

Wednesday, October 28 vs South Carolina Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Today's game marks the first of 13 meetings between these two South Division rivals. Seven of the 13 contests will be held at Germain Arena this season. South Carolina eliminated Florida from the Kelly Cup playoffs last season in the South Division Finals, 4 games to 2.
WET WEDNESDAY: Bud drafts are just $2.00 during every Wednesday night game and college students showing a valid college ID gain admission to the game for just $5.00!
Friday, October 30 vs South Carolina Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: Florida posted a 3-3-0 mark against South Carolina last season at home. Overall the 'Blades were 6-5-1 in the regular season. Of the 13 games between these two foes this season, nine will take place in February (4) and March (5).
Saturday, October 31 vs South Carolina Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades and Stingrays meet on Halloween for the third and final game of this week's three-game series. The two clubs will next meet in South Carolina on New Year's Eve for their next matchup. Florida and South Carolina meet just four times during the first half of the season.
HALLOWEEN NIGHT: Kids 12 and under are FREE with the an adult who purchases a ticket and any child 12 and under wearing a costume to the game receives a FREE ice cream!
