
Stingrays Receive Dubuc And Wellar From Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The Kelly Cup Champion South Carolina Stingrays announced today that Michael Dubuc and Patrick Wellar have been sent to the club by the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
Dubuc, 21, has two goals for two points in three games played with the Stingrays this season. The Granby, PQ native appeared in one game for the Bears registering no points.
Wellar, 25, comes to the Stingrays after playing in two contests with Hershey acquiring one assist. The Carrot River, SASK native played in 14 regular season games last season with the Stingrays earning six points (1g, 5a). Wellar, a 3rd round draft pick by the Washington Capitals in 2002, appeared in all 23 playoff contests scoring one goal and five assists for six points as the Stingrays claimed their ECHL-record third Kelly Cup Championship.
The Stingrays take to the road for the first time this season to visit the Florida Everblades for a three game series starting tomorrow night. Wednesday's contest is the first of a nine game road trip for the Stingrays and the first of 13 meetings against the Everblades.
