
Everblades Ink Another Returnee From 2008-09 Brahbam Cup Squad

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced the signing of forward Ryan Lang today for the 2009-10 season. Lang becomes the 13th player signed by Florida for the upcoming season.
The right-handed shooting centermen returns for his second stint with the Everblades. Last season, Lang averaged nearly a point a game in 44 appearances (16g, 26a - 42p), while also amassing 74 penalty minutes. Since turning pro in 2004, the Regina, Saskatchewan native has spent the majority of his career in the ECHL. Along with lacing up his skates with Florida, Lang has also skated with Charlotte and Augusta tallying 72 goals, 121 assists for 193 points with 272 penalty minutes in 243 ECHL regular season contests. In addition, the 29-year-old has appeared in 22 Kelly Cup Playoff games over his career scoring 6 goals, 7 assists for 13 points and added 26 penalty minutes.
Coach Malcolm Cameron believes Lang is an integral part of this year's team, "Ryan Lang does a lot of things for us. He is a solid player, provides leadership and experience in the locker room and he is a solid team guy."
Other stops along the four-year professional career include Portland, Providence and Houston in the American Hockey League and a year spent in the Italian Elite League with Alleghe HC. Overall as a professional, Lang has appeared in 265 games scored 89 goals, 129 assists for 218 points with 304 penalty minutes.
Lang played college hockey in the CCHA with the University of Alaska - Fairbanks. In four seasons and 140 games played he notched 28 goals, 39 assists for 67 points with 68 penalty minutes for the Nanooks.
