Everblades Assigned Milan, Gauthier from AHL Syracuse

Estero, FL -- The Florida Everblades announced Monday that defenseman Dan Milan and forward Danick Gauthier have been assigned to the team by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Milan, 21, played his first professional season with the Blades in 2012-13, contributing eight assists with a plus-1 rating in 43 games.
"Dan played for us last year and made really big strides in his development," credited Everblades head coach Greg Poss. "We expect him to continue making those strides this year."
Prior to his time with the Blades, the Detroit, Mich., native played two years of major junior in the QMJHL between the Moncton Wildcats and Victoriaville Tigres, registering 49 points (16g, 33a) and 149 penalty minutes in 130 appearances.
Gauthier, who turns 23 later this month, played five games with the Everblades in 2012-13, netting three goals and three assists before being called up to Syracuse.
"Danick is an excellent player, offensively and defensively," gauged Poss, who is set to begin his fourth year behind the bench for the Blades. "When I saw him at development camp [for the Tampa Bay Lightning] he was in very good shape. He's definitely a player who can help us."
A native of Waterloo, Quebec, Gauthier played four years of major junior with the Saint John Sea Dogs-plus one game with the Shawinigan Cataractes-twice winning the QMJHL's President's Cup and capturing the historic CHL Memorial Cup in 2011 with the Sea Dogs.
The Everblades open the 2013-14 campaign at Germain Arena on Friday, October 18, with Black Out Night against the Orlando Solar Bears. Individual game tickets are now on sale at the Capital Bank Box Office at Germain Arena, Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
