
Estrada returns to Greyhounds

WHEELING, WV â The Ohio Valley Greyhounds of the United Indoor Football Association are proud to announce the signing of Angel Estrada (6-1, 216, West Virginia University).
Estrada returns to the Greyhounds after a brief stint with the Nashville Kats of the Arena Football League. With the Kats, he was credited with 10 tackles, three pass breakups, and one interception. A two-way starter for the Greyhounds in 2004, Angel recorded 20 receptions for 223 yards to go along with 7 touchdowns as a receiver. On the defensive side of the ball Estrada proved himself to be one of the best corners in the league. Angel amassed 14 interceptions in 14 games, returning one for a score as well as returning 8 field goals for 227 yards and a score.
A two year starter for the Mountaineers, Estrada recorded 69 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception during the 2001 campaign. Angel enjoyed a very successful senior season in Morgantown as he was honored with Second Team All-Big East after a season that included two interceptions and one interception return for a touchdown.
A native of the Bronx, New York, Estrada transferred to WVU from Nassau Community College where he was honored as a Junior College All-American.
