(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed import running back Daniel Porter to a practice roster agreement, the club announced today.
Porter was an All-WAC second team honoree and all-Louisiana first team honoree in 2009 as he set the Louisiana Tech career rushing record that season. He ended his senior campaign with 211 carries for 1,132 yards and 11 touchdowns, becoming just the second tailback in school history to record back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing season. He also posted 21 catches for 142 yards on the year.
