(Edmonton) - Eskimo President and CEO Len Rhodes has been named a 2013 recipient of the CEASE Men of Honour Awards.

Rhodes is recognized for his efforts to secure over 400 pairs of shoes, in partnership with the adidas Group, for the Edmonton Women's Shelter, commonly known as WIN House. The shoes are the largest donation ever received by the shelter.

"I am deeply touched by this honour and hope it encourages others to do acts of service," says Rhodes. "As part of a community-owned team, I am committed to supporting vulnerable members in our community."

The CEASE (Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation) Men of Honour Awards recognize Edmonton men who respect the integrity and humanity of adults and children and who act with compassion to improve the well-being of vulnerable people in our community. Recipients work in meaningful ways to foster respect, encourage healthy relationships and create positive opportunities for people.

"Our men of honour are humble in what they do," says CEASE Executive Director Kate Quinn. "Whether they're well-known Edmontonians or quiet, behind-the-scenes guys, they help simply because they care and see the need, and we're proud to acknowledge them."

Rhodes and the 12 other recipients will be honoured at the 8th Annual CEASE Benefit and Men of Honour Awards on April 12, 2013 at the Sawmill Banquet and Catering Centre.
