Escott Returns to Amherst Ramblers

October 20, 2010 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
P.E.I. Rocket News Release

The PEI Rocket announced today that Jordan Escott has made the decision to leave the PEI Rocket and return to the Amherst Ramblers of the MHL effective immediately.

"In speaking with Jordan, it was clear that he wanted to return to Amherst where he would get a chance for more ice time than he was currently getting with our team" said President and Governor, Serge Savard Jr. "While we are disappointed, we also respect Jordan's wishes and we wish him the best of luck. This will give another younger play the opportunity to get additional ice time from a developmental standpoint", added Savard.

The Rocket are currently in Montreal where they are beginning a three game road trip. The team plays in Montreal tonight, and then travel to Shawinigan on Friday and the final game of the road trip will be played on Saturday against the Quebec Remparts.

After the road trip, the team returns to PEI for two games on October 29 and 30 against the Halifax Mooseheads and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. October 29th game will feature the Rocket in specially designed pink jerseys in support of Breast Cancer Awareness and Research. Everyone who purchases a ticket for the raffle will receive a chance to win one of the game worn jerseys on the ice at the end of the game.

The Rocket are one of the hottest teams in the QMJHL with 5 wins in a row and 8 wins in the last 9 games. This week's games will again be available through a Pay-Per-View Telus Video Webcast and through a free audio feed on Rocket Radio.
