FORT MYERS, Fla. (May 5, 2012) - Avisail Garcia's single in the 11th was turned into an error that allowed Tyler Collins to score the game-winning run for the Lakeland Flying Tigers as they edged the Fort Myers Miracle 4-3 in 11 innings on Saturday.

Lakeland's 11th inning rally started when Collins worked a walk after falling behind 0-2 to Miracle reliever Edgar Ibarra. Garcia followed with what appeared to be an innocent single to left-center, but Daniel Ortiz misplayed the ball and Collins was able to score all the way from first.

Bruce Rondon got Levi Michael to ground into a game-ending 4-6-3 double play in the bottom of the inning.

Ibarra took a tough loss after pitching four innings and striking out five. Matt Crouse pitched a perfect inning for Lakeland to earn the win.

Miracle starter Adrian Salcedo scattered four hits and gave up two hits in five innings.

Lakeland jumped out to a 1-0 in the first. Dixon Machado doubled to center field and Nick Castellanos brought him home with an opposite field single.

Fort Myers tied the game without hitting the ball out of the infield in the second. Dan Rohlfing worked a walk and moved to second and third on a pair of ground outs. He came home on a wild pitch by Flying Tigers starter Brian Flynn.

The Flying Tigers regained the lead on a two-out single by James Robbins in the fourth. His hit plated Collins, who doubled earlier in the frame.

Daniel Santana broke out of an 0 for 20 slump to put the Miracle back on top in the fifth. With the bases loaded and two outs in a two-strike count, Santana knocked a pitch through the right side of the infield to plate Ortiz and Jairo Perez. Santana was gunned down trying to advance to second, but his hit put the Miracle in front 3-2.

Lakeland answered right back in the sixth. Reliever Nelvin Fuentes allowed a two-out hit to Collins and walked Garcia to put runners on first and second. Robbins again came through by ripping a single to right field. Collins scored to tie the game 3-3.

The Miracle (10-19) will try to snap their three-game losing streak when they meet the Flying Tigers (15-12) again on Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
