Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a two-game losing streak as they take on the Akron Aeros (Cleveland Indians) in the second game of a four-game series at Canal Park. Last night, the SeaWolves failed to hold two early leads en route to a 7-4 loss in the series opener. Erie has now dropped seven of its last nine games against the Aeros and are just 1-4 at Canal Park. Erie has struggled at Canal Park over the last three seasons. Since 2009, the SeaWolves are 4-24 in their last 28 games in Akron and have not won more than two games in Akron since 2008...Today, lefty Jay Voss takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 12th start and third against the Aeros. He is 1-1 in his two previous starts against Akron. Voss took a loss in his last start in Trenton on July 19. In the game, he allowed four runs on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Erie lost the game 9-2. Voss missed his last scheduled turn in the rotation after taking ill the morning of the start last Sunday...Lefty Matt Packer takes the mound for the Aeros making his 20th start and fourth against the SeaWolves. He is 0-1 with two no-decisions against the SeaWolves this season. Packer took a no-decision in his last start against Erie on July 24. In the game, he allowed two runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts in seven innings of work. Packer has tossed at least seven innings in four consecutive starts...The SeaWolves will play two more games in Akron before heading home for a six-game homestand beginning Tuesday.
