Enmark's hat trick leads Toledo past Youngstown

The Team Toledo IceDiggers closed the gap on the Youngstown in the NAHL standings on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving by defeating the Phantoms 4-3 in a shootout.

Center Ross Enmark helped lead Toledo over Youngstown for the first time this season with his first Junior A hat trick.

Enmark tied the score 1-1 at 11:09 of the first period on a rebound. Branden Moran and Dan Armijo assisted on the goal. At 14:44 of the second period, Enmark once again tied the score up on a line rush from defensemen Adam Snead and Bobby Phillips. Center Eric Giosa was Toledo's other scorer. It came at 13:37 of the second period while on the power play from Paul Scalici and Jim Kozlowski. Enmark capped off his three-goal performance in the shootout as the only shooter to score for either team.

Newly acquired goaltender Eric Everson left the game with a knee injury in the second period. Justin Marriott stopped 32 of 33 shots in relief duty for the Diggers.

The IceDiggers will play host to the Soo Kewadin Casino Indians this weekend for a two game set at the Toledo Ice House.

The two teams will meet this Saturday, December 4 at 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 5 at 3:00 p.m. This will mark the first time the Indians have been to Toledo this season. Toledo swept the Soo earlier this season in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Indians are on a two-game win streak after defeating Youngstown and Team USA this past weekend. Former Toledo goaltender, Jason Kearney backstopped both Indian wins.

The Soo Indians are owned and operated by the Soo Indian Tribe that also owns the Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The Indians have had six players drafted in the NHL draft in their twelve-year history.
