Aberdeen Wings News Release
Your Aberdeen Wings (45-10-2-1) look to close out the regular season with a pair of games at the Minnesota Wilderness (26-26-3-2) this Thursday & Friday. The Wings are locked in as the number 1 seed heading into next weekends NAHL Robertson Cup Playoffs round 1. The question that still remains is who will we be playing. The Minot and Bismarck each have 71 points with Minot holding the tie breaker. However Austin is just 3 points back. Meaning this final weekend of the regular season has a lot of meaning. Austin and Bismarck will battle it our against one another. If Bismarck would get a single win that would lock Austin into the 4 seed. Minot is able to control its own destiny with a weekend home match up with Brookings. Minot needs just 1 win to lock up the 2nd seed.
Back to the business at hand for the Wings. Aberdeen is 6-0 against the Wilderness this season, But 4 of those were 1 goal games including an overtime win in September. Puck drop tonight (Thursday) and Friday is scheduled for 7:05pm. You can watch the action at Buffalo Wings & Rings in Aberdeen or by logging on to HockeyTV.com. Or tune into 94.1 The Rock, HubCityRadio.com or The Rock App. to listen to the action! The Wings will return home for round 1 games 1 & 2 Friday & Saturday April 12th & 13th.
