THE SERIES: It's the final meetings of the regular season between the Amarillo Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes. The Bulls have won four of the last five meetings (4-0-0-1) between the two teams. In those games, the Bulls have outscored their opponent 30-12 and in just one of those contests the Jacks managed more than two goals.

WHAT'S AT STAKE: The Amarillo Bulls are just two-points back of the Johnstown Tomahawks for the overall title in the North American Hockey League. Each team has two games remaining with Johnstown currently having two more wins. The Bulls are in a position to tie a team record for most wins in a season 46 that was set in back to back years of 2011-12 and 2012-13.

PLAYOFF PRIMER: The fourth and final playoff spot in the South Division remains up for grabs heading into the final weekend of the regular season. The Corpus Christi IceRays have a three-point lead on the Topeka Pilots as the teams go head-to-head beginning Friday at American Bank Center. The IceRays need one more win or a point to advance to the post season and face the Amarillo Bulls in the first round. The Pilots need a sweep for Topeka to get back to the Robertson Cup Playoffs.

Second place and home ice is also hanging in the balance as the Lone Star Brahmas host the Shreveport Mudbugs this weekend at NYTEX Sports Center. The two teams will meet in the South Division semi-final series next weekend but unsure of who will have the extra game.

Other playoff positioning remaining to be decided includes the East Division where the Northeast Generals have a three-point lead on the Wilkes-Bare Scranton Knights. In Central Division, second through fourth is still open.

STATS ETC: Forward Logan Jenuwine (Committed To Arizona State) has a 12-point lead on Carson Briere for the North American Hockey League scoring race. The Romeo, Michigan native has 58 goals and 42 assists this season. Brenden Datema (Committed To Michigan Tech) will win the scoring race among defenseman as he leads Dalton Weigel of Aberdeen by 12 points. The Bulls have just three road losses in regulation this season with two of them coming in Shreveport and another in North Richland Hills versus the Lone Star Brahmas. Two players have a couple of good streaks heading into play this weekend. Defenseman Brendan West, who was chosen as NAHL South Division Player Of The Week, has five goals in the last three games. Forward Gabriel Seger (Committed to Union College) has 23 assists in his last 13 games.
