Empire Sports, WNSA Team Up With Destroyers

(BUFFALO, NY) – The Buffalo Destroyers along with Empire Sports Network and WNSA 107.7 FM announced a broadcasting partnership for the 2003 season.

The deal calls for WSNA to air 13 of the Destroyers 16 regular season games and Empire Sports will carry four road games. The games airing on Empire Sports will be simulcast on WNSA.

"We are very excited to have Empire Sports/WNSA as our broadcast partners,” Destroyers head coach Ron Selesky said. “Both are well known throughout Western New York for their outstanding sports coverage and we are looking forward to them bringing our fans another season of great game coverage.

The group also announced Fan TV co-host and WNSA host Jim Brinson will continue to do play-by-play for the TV games and will serve as the “Voice of the Destroyers” on WNSA. Fan TV co-host Bob Trimble will join Brinson in the booth as the color commentator. Both Brinson and Trimble have been part of the Destroyers broadcast crew since the team’s inception in 1999. Chrisanne Bellas will return for her fifth season as the producer of the Destroyers television games.

"We are proud to continue our relationship with the Buffalo Destroyers and to work further with Mark Hamister during this very exciting time," Empire Sports/WNSA Vice President and General Manager Bob Koshinski said.

Empire Sports will also air “The Destroyers Report”, a weekly 30-minute show dedicated to the Buffalo Destroyers. Coach Selesky and players will be featured each week on the show.

Coach Selesky will join WNSA evening host Zig for “The Ron Selesky Show” every week as well.
