Friday's Elmira Pioneers game vs. the New Jersey Jackals has been rained out. It is the 3rd rain-out of the season for the Pioneers, all on the road. 2 of the rain-outs have come at New Jersey.
The two teams will make the game as part of a doubleheader Saturday evening beginning at 5:05. Both games will be scheduled to go 7 innings. Elmira is 2-2 in doubleheader games this season with previous splits at Brockton (June 1) and New Jersey (June 14).
LH Sean Brummett (6-3, 2.43) and RH Shigeki Sano (1-2, 2.61) will be the scheduled starters for the Pioneers while the Jackals will counter with LH Mike Bertotti (8-4, 4.40) and RH Steve Fish (6-3, 6.42).
