The Jackals invade the North Charleston Coliseum for the first time since a 4-3 shootout loss on January 29, 2012. The game is Elmira's first road contest of the season and comes in a building where they are 2-4-0 all time. The Stingrays will be playing their second game back at home after a three-game road trip through Florida that saw them go 1-2-0 against Florida and Orlando. The Stingrays enter play this week with a 3-4-0 record and are in fifth place in the South Division. Elmira is 4-7-2 all-time against the Stingrays and went 1-3-1 against them last season. Friday will be the first of three meetings between the clubs this season and the lone game at the North Charleston Coliseum.

11/3 at Gwinnett - 7:05 p.m., Home vs. GWT 0-0-0, Away vs. GWT 0-0-0

Saturday will be the first, and only, contest between the Jackals and Gladiators this season. Gwinnett enters the week as the top team in the South Division with nine points through eight games (4-3-1). Elmira last played in the Arena at Gwinnett Center on January 28, 2012 and suffered a 4-1 setback. That was the second of back-to-back games in Gwinnett for the Jackals last season but Elmira failed to claim a win in either game. In their history the Jackals are 4-2-0 when visiting Gwinnett and 8-4-1 all time. Recapping Last Week:

10/26 vs. Cincinnati: L 2-3

The Jackals got the start they were looking for last Friday against Cincinnati but the finish was exactly the opposite. Behind Kevin Harvey's' first goal of the season 5:13 into the game and a power play strike by Artem Demkov roughly seven minutes later Elmira went up 2-0 in the first period. That lead carried over behind 17 saves by Marc Cheverie, but in the second Cincinnati started to chip away at the lead with a goal from Garrett Wilson. The marker came within tenths of a second of the horn to signal the end of the period. Cincinnati turned the momentum from that goal into two more in the third to claim the lead at 3-2. Jonathan Hazen's strike at 9:25 of the third put Elmira behind in a game for the first time this season. The Jackals received a late power play and pulled Cheverie for a 6-on-4 skater advantage but was unable to beat Brian Foster for the tying goal.

10/27 vs. Cincinnati: OTW 3-2

Maxime Clermont made a memorable first impression in his Jackals debut with a 20-save third period that helped Elmira pick up an overtime win over Cincinnati. Despite a 13-4 shot advantage in the first the Jackals managed to only take a 1-1 tie into the first intermission. Rob Bellamy gave Elmira the lead just before the midway point of the period, but Charles-Olivier Roussel countered with a shorthanded goal in the final minute to tie the score. It was the first first-period goal Elmira surrendered this season. In the second Danny New's first goal of the season came on the power play at 17:17 to restore the lead. It disappeared, though, in the third when David Pacan tipped in a point shot to knot the score. A late holding minor to Cincinnati's Francois Bouchard gave Elmira life late, but it wouldn't be until overtime until the Jackals cashed in the advantage. Dustin Gazley and Jordon Southorn teamed up to set up Artem Demkov in front for the winning power play goal 39 seconds into the extra session.

Quick Hits:

* Artem Demkov's current four-game goal streak (5G) is the longest streak of his career and is the longest goal streak in the ECHL this season. He had two three-game goal streaks as a rookie last season. Also, with six goals this October, Demkov has scored 12 goals in 12 October games as a pro.

* With their win last weekend the Jackals have moved to 199 wins in their time in the ECHL. The Jackals need one more victory to become the 32nd team in the history of the ECHL to reach 200 wins. They will try to claim the milestone win in their first road game of the season this Friday at South Carolina.

* Rob Bellamy is producing points at well over twice the pace he was last season. Through his first 12 games he had three points (2G, 1A) but this season has five points (2G, 3A) through six games.

* Elmira is the last team in the ECHL to play a road game this season. Last season Elmira was the second-best road team in the league with a 20-11-5 record. The 20 road wins set a club record during the Jackals' time in the ECHL.

* The Jackals are still the lone remaining team in the ECHL yet to give up a power play goal this season. They have killed off 27 consecutive power plays, including two 5-on-3s, through the first six games. Elmira killed off a game-high eight power plays Oct. 26 vs. Cincinnati.

*At +7 the Jackals have the best first period goal differential in the league. They have given up the fewest first period goals at one. Their eight goals scored in the first rank tied for fourth most. The Jackals have scored first in each of their six games so far.
