Elks Release Seven Following First Preseason Game

EDMONTON - One day after their opening the preseason with a 30-20 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at IG Field on Friday, the Edmonton Elks announced that seven players have been released from their roster.

Americans Dominic Davis (WR), Floyd Redfield (DB), Nathan Brisson-Fast (DL), Stefan Claiborne (DB), and national players Alex Gayle (RB), Shaydon Phillip (DB), and Kevin Dubois (RB) received their release on Saturday.

The Elks continue training camp on Sunday, with practice scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon at The Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium. Camp schedule is subject to change.
