WICHITA, Kan. (May 4, 2007) - Kansas City Royals pitcher Scott Elarton has been sent to Wichita to pitch for the Wranglers on a Major League Rehab Assignment. Elarton will start Sunday afternoon's game against the Tulsa Drillers.

Elarton is 0-1 and has 3.00 ERA as a Wranglers pitcher this season. This will be his first appearance at Lawrence-Dumont.

Outfielder Jorge Padilla was promoted to (AAA) Omaha after starting the season in Wichita. He was drafted by the Phillies in the third round of the 1998 draft and was signed as a free agent by the Royals in December of 2006.

Padilla led the Wranglers with a .380 batting average (30-79) and had 13 RBI in 23 games for the Wranglers this season.
