El Paso evens series against Coastal Bend
ROBSTOWN, Texas -The Coastal Bend fell 11-1 to the Diablos at home.
Mark "Ace" Acierno had the game in cruise control through the first five innings. He retired the side in order in the first, second, and fifth innings. Acierno faced only five hitters in the third, and five in the fourth. The sixth inning began with back to back errors putting runners on second and third. Allowing a team four to five outs will always prove costly as the Diablos scored five runs in the inning.
Dan Henderson entered the ball game getting roughed up for four runs, three of which were earned, recording only one out. Brandon Pello pitched in the seventh inning retiring the three hitters he faced in order. Matt Rohr, which has been replaced in the rotation by Alex "White Shoes" Dutka, came in the eighth allowing two more runs to score. Shawn Morgan pitched a scoreless ninth inning as the Diablos went down in order.
The Diablos were lead by Carlos Sepulveda with three hits of their eleven. The five game eries resumes tomorrow with game three.
