Eight Ironmen Named All Stars

Lorain County Ironmen News Release
(Lorain, OH)- The Lorain County Ironmen spent the majority of the first half of the season with the #1 offense and #2 pitching staff in the Prospect League. The Ironmen were rewarded by the league on Wednesday with 8 players being named to the mid-season All Star Game on July 13th in Beckley, WV.
Representing the Ironmen will be James DiBiasio, Sam Alvis, Zak Blair, Michael Burke, Jeff Cola, Michael Grieco, Adam Beach, and Dan Poskocil. DiBiasio and Cola were the leading vote getters at their positions.
For the second straight season the Ironmen will send the most players to the East Division team. They tied with the Quincy Gems for the most players overall.
The All Star game will include a workout day in front of scouts from professional teams. The All Star Game will be preceded by a homerun derby.
