July 6, 2011 - Prospect League (Prospect)
Chillicothe Paints News Release

The voting has been tabulated and four Chillicothe Paints' players have been selected to appear in the 2011 Prospect League All-Star game.

The mid-summer classic billed as "A Night Under The Stars With The Stars", will be hosted by the West Virginia Miners on Wednesday, July 16, at Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley, WVA.

Paints' players chosen to play for the PL East Division All-Stars include; Steve Anderson (OF, Grand Valley State); Drew Dosch (Util. Inf., Youngstown State); Clayton Schulz (LHP, North Florida) and Casey Webber (LHP, Western Michigan). Anderson was the leading vote-getter of all East Division outfielders and Schulz led all East Division pitchers in the balloting.

At the time of the voting, Anderson was hitting a sizzling .372 with 12 doubles and three homeruns. Dosch was batting .299 with five doubles and one round-tripper. Schulz sports an impressive ERA of 1.07 in 33.2 innings pitched. The lefthander is credited with 31 strikeouts and just seven free passes. Webber's ERA is a lowly 1.95 in 32.1 innings of work on the mound. He has recorded 36 strikeouts and allowed just nine walks. This will mark Schulz's second trip to the PL All-Star game. He was a member of the East Division squad in 2009.

Game time is slated for 7:30. A "Homerun Derby" will precede the game at 5:30 p.m. and a fireworks display will be featured following the game.
