FirstEnergy Stadium - The Reading Phillies will be celebrating Reading's rich Latin-American culture on Thursday, May 15 as part of "Noche Latina" at FirstEnergy Stadium when the Phillies take on the Norwich Navigators at 6:35 PM. Gates open at 5:30 PM. The promotion, along with a post-game Sovereign Bank Fireworks show, will kick off an eight-game home stand.

Special pre-game ceremonies for Noche Latina will include a historical perspective of Latino players who have spent time in Reading over the years and video highlights of current Latino R-Phils. Also before the game, players of Latin descent from both Reading and visiting Norwich will be given a special introduction.

"The Latino culture has such strong ties to baseball and Reading has a very active Latino community," said Reading Assistant General Manager Scott Hunsicker. "We feel Noche Latina will bring baseball fans of all ethnic backgrounds together to enjoy our national past time."

Fans entering the stadium will be treated to Latino music played by DJ Johnny Diaz. The dance group Raices will be greeting people and performing at the main entrance. Authentic Latino cuisine will also be available at the ballpark.

Throughout the game, Latino music will be played for player introductions and between-inning contests. The post-game fireworks will be accompanied by Latino music, as well.

The night's festivities are sponsored by 830 AM WEEU, Hola Berks, 69 News Edicion En Espanol and Centro Hispano.
