Edwards Invited to Nuggets Training Camp

Rio Rancho, NM - The NBA Development League New Mexico Thunderbirds have announced today that forward Shane Edwards has been invited to Denver Nuggets training camp and will be one of 17 players on Denver's preseason roster.
In 39 games (25 starts) with the Thunderbirds, Edwards averaged 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 62.5% from the field and 72% from the free throw line during the 2009-10 season. Edwards played for the Nuggets during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas this past summer, averaging 10.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He appeared in all five games for a Nuggets team that went 4-1.
