ECHL Names Siville Assistant Director of Communications

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Thursday that it has hired Joe Siville as assistant director of communications.

Siville will be responsible for the layout and design of the Official Guide and Record Book and the Schedule Book of the ECHL. He will be involved in the creation and dissemination of press releases, ECHL This Week and ECHL Today as well as updating the content on the official league web site at echl.com.

Siville comes to the ECHL from Comcast-Spectacor in Philadelphia where he was a production assistant in the creative solutions department. He was responsible for the printing and layout of various designs for Comcast-Spectacor and its companies, including the media notes for both the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League as well as the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association.

Prior to joining Comcast-Spectacor, Siville worked for the St. Louis Blues of the NHL, as an intern in 2002 and then as a marketing/community relations assistant, working with both the senior vice president of communications and marketing and the director of communications and media relations.

As an intern with NBC Sports from August 2001 to January 2002, Siville worked closely with producers, directors and production associates on biographies and stories for the 2002 Winter Olympics and assisted the senior producer of the Olympic Profile Unit. In addition to his work with NBC Sports, Siville has worked with the production units for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball and ESPN NHL Hockey Night.

Siville was awarded his bachelor's of arts degree in journalism and history from Rutgers University and also majored in communications at Niagara University.
