
ECHL Announces Preseason Schedule

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Wednesday announced its preseason schedule of 25 games beginning Oct. 5 and continuing through Oct. 13.
The preseason opens on Saturday, Oct. 5 with the Wheeling Nailers hosting the Elmira Jackals at WesBanco Arena.
The Premier "ÃËAA' Hockey League will open its 26th season with six games on Friday, Oct. 18. Opening weekend continues with 10 games on Saturday, Oct. 19 and one game on Sunday, Oct. 20.
The third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League, the ECHL averaged 4,695 fans per game in 2012-13, the highest single-season average since 1999-2000, and the ninth consecutive season and the 21st time in the last 23 years that the ECHL has averaged over 4,000 fans.
