
Ebobisse scores hat-trick, Cowell and Chofis tally two assists each

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes closed out their 2022 preseason by defeating Sacramento Republic FC 3-0 at PayPal Park on Friday afternoon.
Forward Jeremy Ebobisse scored all three of San Jose's goals, giving him five goals in three preseason appearances. Eighteen-year-old Cade Cowell assisted two of Ebobisse's goals to close out preseason with four goals and four assists in four games. Chofis also tallied two assists to finish with one goal and two assists this preseason.
Designated Player Jamiro Monteiro also made his Quakes debut, playing the second half.
The Earthquakes will now prepare to kick off the 2022 MLS season on Saturday, Feb. 26 against the New York Red Bulls at PayPal Park. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. PT and the match will be broadcast on NBC Sports California.
